February 20th, 1864

LET US NOT FORGET THEIR COURAGE AT OLUSTEE

The Department Commander Called a

Special Meeting of Department Officers

on August 27th 2011 to convene in the

ROBERT A. FISK ROOM

Veterans Memorial Library, St. Cloud, Fl.

Its purpose to establish the

Olustee Monument Commission

Department of Florida recognizes the fact that three monuments to Confederate soldiers exist at the Olustee Battlefield. And that no monuments exist at the Olustee Battlefield to the courage and valor of the Union soldiers who fought there. As Sons of Union Veterans we seek to balance the cultural representation by placing a monument there.
